Port to Unveil Vista Field Designs and a Timeline For Phase One Construction

Kennewick, WA – On Thursday, April 19, 2018, at 6:00 p.m. in the Bechtel Board Room of the Tri-Cities Business & Visitor Center, located at 7130 W. Grandridge Boulevard, Kennewick WA, Port of Kennewick Commissioners and staff will unveil Vista Field design plans, including conceptual renderings of the Port’s proposed Phase One infrastructure investment and what that site could look like at build-out.

This special meeting is designed to give the public an opportunity to view color concept renderings, make comments and ask questions. Port staff will also share information on the Port’s budget/financing, timelines, and the next steps toward construction.

The goal of the Vista Field Redevelopment project is to attract new businesses and jobs, and transform the Port’s 103-acre former airfield into a walkable, bikeable, transit-oriented regional town center with a finely-grained street network, filled with a vibrant combination of commercial, residential, and public spaces. As planned, the Port’s investment in Phase One infrastructure would open an initial 20-acres to the private-sector for urban mixed-use development.
